The Foreverwatcher’s lips pulled up as he gave Arella something that was close to a smile but was not really a smile. Then, he raised his hand, and touched Arella’s forehead. His many reflections blinked, their golden eyes glowing in sync. "It seems that our time is up."
Arella shook her head, "Why does all this information matter in the first place? Why did I need to even know about any of my past lives."
The Foreverwatcher tilted his head, "It was never meant to matter," he murmured, "and yet it does. You will figure out everything in due time, child of Camael."
His words were not cruel, nor were they dismissive, but they showed finality. He was not going to tell Arella anything more no matter how she would ask.
"That does not answer anything." Arella rolled her eyes, retorting as she usually would.
The Foreverwatcher raised a brow, "Because you are not ready to hear the answer, you will come and seek me again, all in due time."
Before Arella could argue, a sound reverberated through the Hall. A low and distorted hum. The runes that were drawn on the large eye that hovered at the top of the hall, the runes that were etched onto the mirror, and the runes that were sewn onto his flowing robes, they all rattled, and shook, and the world itself twisted and turned before Arella’s eyes.
It was as if reality itself was being pulled apart.
The mirror behind the Foreverwatcher shuddered, and cracked from the bottom to the top. The cracks were golden, and they ran through the surface of the mirror, the light flickering violently as if something beyond it stirred.
"We really have to send you back now," The Foreverwatcher pressed his fingers onto Arella’s chin, and pushed her gaze back to his.
"But, i thought that perhaps I had been brought here to find a way to help those back at home. I still have no answer to our predicament, I do not know a way that I can fight those things. I have not even helped Haniel get Kratel’s soul back to his body. I have not done anything of use." Arella was babbling at this point.
