FALLEN ANGEL: MARRIED TO THE DEMON KING

Chapter 86: THE BONDS THAT BIND (2)

Velmoria swallowed the lump that had settled in her throat, forcing herself to remain composed, as impossible as that was. The simple acknowledgement of her name had sent a shiver down her spine. Still in an awful attempt at remaining composed, Velmoria gave another curtsy, "I will have to leave now your majesty, I hope you enjoy your tea."

This was her attempt at running away, a futile one perhaps, but an attempt nonetheless. The queen, seemingly not noticing the electricity that crackled between the succubus, the noble demon and the angel.

But then again, she doubted the queen had discovered that she and the king were mates, or if she had, it had not been long since she had made the discovery. "Before you leave, can you show Cassie the gardens. He gushed about them because he has never seen white roses before."

"I did not gush." Castiel tapped her forehead with his knuckles, "have your words right."

"It’s the same thing." The queen waved a hand, "after you are done showing him around the gardens, bring him back so that he can join us for tea." She turned to the ladies, "Ladies, this is Castiel, son of Camael. He will be joining us for tea, I hope you have no issues with that." The three ladies let out noises of disagreement, assuring the queen that they had no problem with her brother joining them.

Meanwhile, Velmoria’s stomach twisted violently. She wanted to run. There was no way she could afford being alone with him. Not now, not when it felt like she was going to jump him by simply being a few feet away from him.

"My Queen, I--" she prepared to decline the queen’s instructions.

"I would love to take a tour of the garden as well," Lady Darvia’s voice came from the side. Velmoria’s breath caught. The young lady rose to her feet, her pink eyes flickering between Velmoria and Castiel. She walked up to them, and her scent sent Velmoria’s heart hammering wildly against her ribs.

"I have only heard tales of the magnificent garden the king made for the queen. I simply have to see more of it." She gave a curtsy to the queen. Her bubbly personality was back, as if she had not gone silent for a few minutes.

"Aw, but we still have not heard the rest of your story." Lady Seraphine spoke up from the tea table.

"Let her go. I am sure she is tired of sitting here with old people like us." Lady Immera said, her eyes glancing at the four people standing near the garden door. "We also have matters to discuss. She can join us after they are shown the gardens."
