Chapter 2: KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN; THANKS MOM (2)
With delicate fingers, she opened the letter, peeking ever so slightly at the contents. Her jaw tightened with each mocking word.
'My beautiful Arella.
How time has passed. You have grown so old and so beautiful. You take after me in your beauty. How many years has it been since you last caused a ruckus? Or has it been just a month? Was it not just last week that your poor father was informed of you breaking very expensive machinery that had been purchased from the other department of noble angels? Or was it just yesterday that I was called in to your office only to be informed that you had set an angel's head on fire because he had not done his job correctly?
Oh, how I miss the time you were a wee little babe.
I will be awaiting your arrival in the manor.
Yours,
Lailah.'
Upon finishing the letter, Arella's fist clenched, and a bush behind them was set on fire.
Castiel snapped his finger, and the fire was immediately put out. "No burning things." He chided.
"We all know she does not miss me being a wee babe." She ran a hand through her blonde locks. "She never forgets to mention how it was difficult to get me to settle down. Not to mention how I apparently kept drowning all the pets she got me."
"I think it is called sarcasm. Mother learned it in the human realm."
