A week passed since Alex’s illness and it was finally his discharge day. Both he and his father have decided to take their secret to their graves.
They both knew if Harlow found out about the lies, she would kick them both out of the house for good. They both didn’t want to lose her or upset her.
Harlow has been so sad recently, she would never forgive them if she found out everything was a lie.
But Alex has promised his father that he would never lie to his mother anymore. He has promised he would be good and has shown Alanis a few good tricks to his mother’s heart again.
"I’m entrusting Mother to you again Daddy. Don’t mess with her, or you’ll have me to contend with." He had threatened his father and Alanis complied.
He didn’t take his son’s warning for granted.
"When are we going to see Great Grandma Mummy?" He asked.
"Soon baby. She’ll be so happy to see you." Harlow said. She couldn’t wait to see Charlotte again, she only hoped that she would forgive her for ruining their lives back then.
