When morning came, Harlow rolled on the soft mattress spreading her arms and legs as she buried her head deeper into the softness. Her nose twitched the the sweet smell of roses. Alanis’s good morning gestures have become a part of her life because why was she perceiving roses when there were no roses in this room?
That stupid man... Her face contoured to disgust as she thought of him. The sheer thought of him alone can change her mood in the blink of an eye.
He had successfully invaded her life, now he was invading her favorite scent too. Harlow’s frown deepened. It would take her a while to get that man off her head and thoughts for good.
It’s a good thing she came here, he would never be able to find her ever.
"Are you having a nightmare?" Harlow paused. She was even hearing his voice right now? What has Alanis done to her? Why does everything keep reminding her of him?
"Are you awake my villain, let’s go back home." Her eyes flew open immediately. Maybe she was overthinking, maybe it was time she did some exercise or took a breath of fresh air to clear her head.
She can’t be hearing things from that man. But as Harlow opened her eyes, she was greeted by roses decorated all over the room. There was not a part of the room without a rose.
Harlow shook her head in denial, there’s no way Alanis must have found her, he couldn’t have found her all the way here. She had made sure to hide as far away from him as possible.
