Harlow smirked as she watched the three women pale at Charlotte’s final decree.
"Garth, Lia, and Claudia will be Harlow’s maids for a week." Charlotte declared.
George’s face twisted in anger. He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. "How can you say that, Grandma? My mother will never serve this girl," he sneered, his voice thick with disdain.
Charlotte’s sharp gaze met his. "That was the agreement," she reminded him coolly. "You personally asked me not to get involved, and I haven’t. Your mother and sisters did this to themselves."
George knew she was right. He hated it, but he couldn’t argue against it. The rules were the rules, and his mother and sisters had only themselves to blame.
