Alanis stepped out of his Villa with Harlow and Charlotte tailing behind him. All of the servants gathered around both male and female waiting to be commanded. A few glared stylishly as Harlow and others just bowed their heads.
Ava who had been scared all morning since the news was on the verge of panicking. They were all blaming Harlow for this. Some even said she deserved to take the punishment, not their master Alanis for killing Claudia’s child.
She deserves to be in jail for her actions. Most people thought. Meanwhile, pale Claudia sat on a chair quietly, her mother behind her as they watched Alanis walk in.
George smiled as he saw his proud brother walk towards them. For years he had built an unhealthy hatred for Alanis, for years he had been patiently waiting for the day he would finally put this man in his place. The day he would humiliate his elder brother, and thanks to Harlow, today seems to be the day.
George was more than ready to whip Alanis tonight. Since he wanted to take his wife’s punishment, he should as well be ready for the consequences of it.
Harlow stared at the chains in the servant’s hands, her eyes trailed to the many weapons on a large table. It would be the weapons George would be using on Alanis. Even if she hated Alanis, for the first time she felt sorry for him. She wished there was something she could do to save him.
