Chapter 99: BIRTHDAY GALA
A week has passed since Harlow moved in with Andrew. So far both he and his people have been the nicest to her.
There was still no trace of Ava anywhere. According to Andrew, Alanis has not responded to any of his calls or messages. But he would keep trying.
She had no idea why he didn’t want her to speak to Alanis. All Harlow wants is to be sure Aca is alright.
Now seated in her room staring at her reflection in the mirror as the maids combed her hair. Harlow picked up the purple card on her table to stare at it again. She placed it between her fingers as she twirled the card from one side to another and then back again.
She had been staring at the card all week waiting patiently for the day to arrive and here it was.
Today is her sweet sister’s birthday. As the favorite daughter of Frank Blackwood, they weren’t just throwing a normal party, it was a gala. Hosting the most influential people in the country.
She had no idea why Claudia suddenly changed the normal little gathering to a big one. Whatever the reason was, Harlow had her gift ready for her sweet sister. She smiled at her thoughts.
She picked one among the many dress choices before her. And once she was done, the maids helped her with the dress.
"You know Miss Harlow." One of the maids started behind her. "Sir Andrew have never brought any woman home before you. You’re the first and we’re all so happy you’re the chosen one." The maid said unable to hide her tongue.
