Chapter 89: SET UP 2
Alanis didn’t wait for an answer. Fury burned through him as he strode toward the buff man lounging arrogantly in the chair. Without hesitation, he grabbed the thug by the collar and yanked him up with one swift, brutal motion.
"I said, what the fuck did you give her?!" Alanis roared, his voice echoing like a thunderclap.
Before the man could stammer out a reply, Alanis’s fist slammed into his face with a bone-crunching force. The thug crumpled to the floor, groaning in pain as blood poured from his split lip.
This was exactly why Alanis hadn’t wanted Harlow to live alone. His jaw clenched as his thoughts darkened. If only she hadn’t been so damn stubborn.
He clicked his tongue, the sound sharp and cold.
"What the hell, man? Who do you think you are?!" another thug yelled, the one who had pressed the chloroform to Ava’s nose earlier. At first, they thought this man would be an easy target, someone they could handle. But now, they realized how wrong they were.
This wasn’t just any man.
This was Alanis Hamilton, ’The Tycoon Beast...’
The thug lunged at Alanis, his massive form rushing like a bull. But before he could reach him, Alanis’s boot struck out with precise, unrelenting power, sending the man sprawling across the room.
Another thug didn’t wait. Seizing the moment, he charged at Alanis, his fists raised. Alanis barely flinched. With cold precision, he grabbed a chair from the corner and smashed it across the man’s face, the wood splintering with the impact.
The man standing before them wasn’t Alanis anymore, he was a raging beast, a force of nature ready to tear them apart.
