Alex clenched his phone after reading the news, and Joanna sensed something amiss. The documents had been signed with only questions from the media.
The next event would be the celebration banquet at the hotel office.
"Mrs. King, how do you feel about your husband’s appointment?" a media representative asked Joanna.
Alex did not intervene, as this was the final part of the events before the media departed. The banquet would not be covered on social media like the handover ceremony.
It was simply a way to host those in attendance and allow those who couldn’t make it on time to congratulate Alex.
There would be many business discussions during the meeting, so it was expected to end around midnight.
"Well, every woman would be excited, and I am no exception," Joanna shrugged. Alex appreciated her carefree attitude and the fact that she remained true to herself without changing for the camera.
