Chapter 106 – Logan in hot waters
"A lot of people, including most of you here, did not want this wedding to happen. The first being my own brother, Logan, who proposed the whole thing because our secret court marriage did not fit the standard of the Kings," Alex began, and the temperature around their table dropped drastically.
Since they wanted it, he would just give it to them, hot or cold.
Logan’s partner was not allowed at this table because she was not included in the list but Logan did not care much since he knew the rules.
"Alex..." Logan started to say, but Alex cut him off.
"I’m not done talking. I don’t have proof, but from what you put up before the exchanging of the vows, you are the first person I suspect to know something about the kidnapping of the wedding dress designer."
Eyes widened, and Grandpa was stunned by the revelation. "Logan, is what he’s saying true?" he asked, his voice low but stern.
There was soft music playing in the background, and he did not want his voice to override it.
"Grandpa, didn’t Alex say that he didn’t want to be interrupted?" Logan asked with his head bowed, unable to lie because he was afraid of the old man.
Joanna and Violet were stunned at the revelation. So, all this while, Lily had indeed been abducted. Earlier, they thought she was making up excuses.
Alex’s voice interrupted their thoughts. "Yes, I don’t want you to speak now, but you shall be obligated to answer after I am done with my explanation."
Alex was not going to allow him to escape. He might search for the proof later, but for now, his gut told him that Logan was the one behind the abduction of Lily.
