Chapter 90: Blue Phoenix’s Egg
The crowd roared as the sixth match of the tournament concluded.
Aamir sat with his friends in the audience stands, watching the arena intently. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement, though he looked more relaxed than thrilled.
"Man, it’s already 2 PM," Aamir said, stretching his arms. "And we’ve only reached the break. I’ve got another match after this."
Kunal leaned back in his seat. "You’ll win that match easily."
Aamir chuckled. "Yeah, I will... but still, I can’t help but get excited when it comes to fighting strong opponents."
The announcer declared a one-and-a-half-hour break, and the audience slowly began to disperse. Kunal stood up. "Alright, let’s get something to eat."
Everyone nodded in agreement. Kunal turned to Ji-won. "You coming?"
"Why not?" Ji-won smiled. "I’m hungry too, you know."
"Let’s go, then," Kunal said, and the group made their way to the stadium’s food court. Though plenty of food stalls lined the area outside the stadium, they decided to eat within the premises.
"No point in wasting time going out when we’ve got good food here," Aamir said.
After the break, the team split up. Everyone except Kunal and Ji-won returned to the contestants’ zone while the other two went back to their seats.
