I Got My System Late, But I'll Become Beastgod

Chapter 84: The Opening Ceremony

The Runewheelers came to a halt, releasing a hiss of magic-fueled steam as the doors slid open with a soft click. One by one, the thirteen students from Aryavrata and twelve from Kyokai Academy stepped onto the cobblestone path that led toward the arena.

Before them towered a colossal stadium, a structure so vast it seemed to swallow the horizon. Its outer walls shimmered with enchanted runes, glowing faintly under the bright sunlight, while the air itself buzzed with excitement and magic.

Outside the arena, a vibrant fair had taken form, sprawling out like a second city.

The smell of roasted meat and spiced pastries drifted through the air. Food stalls lined the walkway, sizzling with exotic flavors—meat skewers crackled over enchanted flames, and sweet, sparkling beverages changed color with each stir. Accessory booths glittered with magical rings, charms, and combat trinkets that whispered promises of power. Children and adults alike gathered around game stands with levitating targets, illusion mazes, and beast-themed tug-of-wars. Laughter rang out like music.

Aamir took it all in with a smile tugging at his lips. He turned to the others.

"Hey guys, I think we should visit the fair after the opening ceremony," he suggested.

Kunal stretched his arms behind his head lazily. "Yeah, why not? I’ll be waiting for you all at the stadium’s exit once the ceremony ends."

Meera leaned toward Miyo and Misaki with a hopeful grin. "Will you two come with us?"

"Yas!" the sisters replied in unison, their eyes sparkling.

Miyo then skipped over to a boy leaning against the side of the Runewheeler, arms crossed, expression calm. His icy blue eyes surveyed the crowd with subtle alertness.

"Sinki-senpai, will you come with us?"
