That was all Mikey's head could think of as he watched Melissa's face contort with fury. The fire in her eyes burned brighter than the streetlights overhead, her lips trembling—not with hesitation, but with rage.
"I saw you." she spat.
"At the Delos party, with Taylor. I saw you kiss her and I saw you take her upstairs. And I don't need to be a fucking wizard to know what happened up there in those five minutes!"
'Five minutes?'
Mikey's stomach twisted as a banter almost escaped from his lips.
'Five minutes? That's how long my character lasts?'
Still, despite the ridiculous situation, things weren't exactly going in his favor. Melissa didn't have actual proof—she hadn't seen him in bed with whoever Taylor was. And another crucial detail? This all went down at a party. And if there was one thing student parties guaranteed, it was drunk mistakes.
