"I’m pretty sure you’ve heard about... the Homunculus. Would you be surprised if it were... possible, Mei?" I asked Mei in a serious tone.
"I’m not too surprised if it can be done, because I’ve done the same thing. I even gave birth to a long-extinct monster to come back to life," said Mei, who didn’t seem too surprised if the Homunculus research from one of the sages from another world could be done.
"Yes, it’s true to your nickname, the Mother of Monsters. But this time it’s different. What this sage from another world has created is something that goes against the norms and ethics of a researcher. You’re aware of the laws on Earth that prohibit the creation of humans who violate God’s rules in several religions spread across Earth, right?" I asked to confirm this.
When I questioned that, I realized that my actions had created a new species for the vessel that Clara would possess.
I realized this too late and felt like I was violating the limits of humanity being able to create "something" according to the will of God that people on Earth believe in.
"It wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t get caught, would it?" Mei replied, seemingly not particularly interested in theology on Earth.
"Think of it like that... Creating a human as a Homunculus would violate several international laws that violate the ethical codes and norms of a researcher."
"So, do you want to do this job or not?" Mei seemed impatient with my decision after she had chosen the option I offered her.
