Chapter 47 - 46 - After Taste Cursed Food
I don’t know what’s happening to Momoka, but it seems like she has a small grudge against Elysia.
Like a cat hiding from a predator that wants to prey on her, it makes Momoka keep a fairly large distance between herself and Elysia.
"Um, Master Weiss, have I done something wrong that makes Momoka distance herself from me like this?" Elysia asked after the incident that happened in the living room ended with making an emergency breakfast of normal instant noodles.
In the current normal sense of "cooking instant noodles", it means cooking instant noodles according to good and proper cooking rules, without using ingredients that will create cursed food like before.
To calm the awkward atmosphere that had occurred earlier, I stared at an empty pan that had just been emptied by Rina, who seemed satisfied with the breakfast I cooked.
"It’s okay, Elysia. My younger sister is just phobic about you suddenly putting food into her mouth. That’s all," I replied while watching Momoka’s red eyes that were staring sharply at Elysia like an enemy.
"Oy, Momoka, can you stop this childish trait of yours? Didn’t you feel the benefits of my cooking earlier?" I continued by asking Momoka a question.
"What benefits? Well, the salty taste of salt can at least help reduce the risk of disease in humans. But this is much saltier than the taste of sea water itself! Hiisss!!" with a hiss like an unfriendly cat, I got a reply that made me look like someone who had just created a new enemy in her own situation.
"Oh, come on, I know you feel the changes in your own body, at least a small change that makes you feel a different effect than usual," I said, trying to reduce the fire of hostility that had been created earlier.
The words I gave seemed to make Momoka think hard about the changes that had occurred. She then came out of her hiding place, which looked like a cat coming out of a cardboard box, and started stretching her body.
"C-Could this be one of your Maid Order abilities that can make such terrible food taste good on your own Maid’s tongue?!" Momoka said with her red eyes piercing me with an invisible attack, but was deflected by Elysia’s sparkling gaze towards Elysia.
