Kassel groaned in pain as he clutched his back, his skin scorched from the intense flames.
Unlike the others who had used mana to shield themselves, he had taken the full impact.
The burns stung like hell, and every movement sent waves of agony through his body. He gritted his teeth, trying to stay conscious, but the pain was unbearable. Some knights had managed to protect themselves, but many lay injured, their skin burned and torn from the earlier explosion. If they didn’t get treated soon, their wounds would leave hideous scars, if not kill them outright.
Heru stood amidst the chaos, his sharp gaze scanning the battlefield. He had no time to worry about the wounded now.
The enemy was still standing, and their monstrous foe was growing more aggressive.
Byk, the massive beast standing before them, threw his head back and let out a deep, guttural laugh. His bloodshot eyes locked onto Heru, filled with murderous rage. It was clear he had realized Heru had foiled his plans of wiping them all out.
Question marks appeared on Heru’s head as he screamed inwardly.
