Chapter 114:Monster Charge
A group of knights pushed forward, working together to bring down a particularly large orc. It swung its massive club, sending two men flying, but the rest closed in.
One drove a spear into its gut while another hacked at its legs. The beast fell with a thunderous crash before being finished off by a clean decapitation.
Kassel and Heru the two captains from the Sparves charged at the forefront bashing the monsters while giving orders at the back.
"Mage assume your stance and attack them," Kassel shouted.
Heru felt a chill and shouted while glaring at Kassel," Signal us to dodge before attacking.
"Oop!" Kassel made a slip of the tongue and looked behind to address his soldiers.
From the rear, the mages unleashed their magic. Bolts of fire exploded among the enemy ranks, scorching their flesh and sending some wolves into a frenzy. Ice magic froze limbs solid, shattering them with the next strike.
The light attacks fried many to death but few with which hideous skin shook it off.
Despite the initial attack, the orcs fought with terrifying ferocity. They showed no fear, only bloodlust. They roared and howled, swinging their weapons with deadly force. The knights held their ground, but for every orc slain, another took its place.
Kael’s eyes gleamed with cold menace. He cut through another enemy before shouting, "We need to finish this quickly."
With renewed fury, the knights pressed forward, their swords and spears striking true. Kael led the charge, his blade carving through flesh and bone like a demon on the battlefield.
