Chapter 362: TUSSLE BETWEEN US
LUCIAN’S POV
Uncle Cadman had called twenty minutes before Conri got back to the mansion. He had explained in detail what had transpired at the foot of the mountain after they had captured Enid, Chakaa, and Judy. After listening to everything he reported, fear gnawed in my stomach. Memories of how I was tortured came rushing and I felt annoyed at the decision they had made. I had expected Conri to kill them all for what they did to me and hang up in the middle of Uncle Cadman’s warning that I should not be harsh to Conri Dolf.
It was an hour to dawn when I sensed Conri’s presence and knew he had come back to the Freki resort. I heard the sighs from him as he came up to the room and sat up on the bed. The minute he opened the door and saw the look on my face, his body froze and he just resigned to enter and close the door.
" How dare you,?" I seethed at him in anger. "You spared that fucking bitch after the way she tortured me?"
" Uncle Cadman has his reasons for this. Seeing that you already know what happened he must have given you the reason for it. "Conri asserted as he walked towards the bed and stood staring down at me.
" You have no consideration for what I went through. Do you think I wanted to see her? The woman who kidnapped me and electrocuted me?" I yelled.
" It was a hard call. Forgive me " He stated apologetically.
" Go away Conri. I dont want to see you" I growled.
" Impossible Lil up. What you are asking is impossible. It is too much for me if you push me away after the scare that we went through " He seethed.
" I just need a moment alone with my thoughts. My mind has been in turmoil for days and to hear you went soft because some witch’s blood scroll shit is my borderline patience" I retorted.
" I will be seated at the corner. ’’ He pulled the chair that was next to the bed and went to sit by the window and huffed in anger. I could hear the low rumble on his chest as his nostrils flared from how he was holding back from fighting with me.
