Chapter 305: ARIA FAMILY DINNER
LOVITA’S POV
I was glad to have Zineb and Sayuri comfort Ma after the death of Grandmother Mercline. For the first time I was at a loss on what to do but Toten and Tharn advised that I should let them hang out with me.
They all agreed to have dinner at the hotel the next day and I picked Ma and Old Man Cyrus up from the house while Toten and Tharn promised to meet me at the hotel. Ma was quiet throughout the journey. Old man Cyrus whom I now call Grandpa made small conversations and Ma only nodded.
When we got to the hotel, we found Sayuri at the entrance waiting for us and she rushed to embrace Ma and pulled her into the hotel. Toten and Tharn were seated at the visitor’s lounge and stood up when I walked in.
" Grandpa " Tharn rushed over to Grandpa and Sayuri’s eyes widened as she turned to him.
Ma smiled at Sayuri and said " This is old man Cyrus. He had been the guardian of the pearl farm for years. But now Toten, Tharn, and Lovita are building their home on the Island and will be in charge of the pearl farm. Cyrus is Sayuri, Lobo’s mate. "
" It’s a pleasure to meet you " Grandpa smiled politely.
" The pleasure is all mine" Sayuri nodded politely but her eyes spoke volumes as resentment rose.
" What is it ?" Aurora stepped away from Sayuri.
She rubbed her hands in anxiety and said " Please let us go to the reserved dinner room and I will explain "
Ma nodded and we all walked to the room while Tharn muttered under his breath" I will leave if anyone annoys Grandpa."
