" That was fucking close " Tizheruk whispered as he breathed with heavy gasp as he rubbed his chest in pain.
" Is all the poison out of your body ?" I demanded. " We don’t have time"
"Yes. Years back, I was caught unawares hence I made early preparations on the same. This woman is smart enough to mix the Rucin poison with pearls and throw the powder in the air when we walk into the tent. The scent was masked hence I was caught unawares."
" Why wasn’t I affected ?" I asked. " We both walked into the tent together?"
" Rucin only affects serpents and sea creatures" He responded and groaned in pain.
" Are you okay? " I whispered as I moved closer to him
"Yes, for now. We need to find a way to get out of here. My body is in recovery mode but the pain remains as my body slowly heals itself and of course, having your power makes it all easy. But my question is how did Loraine get the Ricin poison? It’s only found at the bottom of the ocean unless someone from Sitka supplies her with it. Her goal was to subdue me enough to get my scales. Once poisoned it takes twenty-four hours before I shit into my serpent form. Then the person would be able to get my scales. And it seems that Lorrian had this information at hand. We have more in Sitka too" Tizheruk stated.
" Lucian is meant to give me feedback on what is happening in Chugach before we make any move" I nodded and then pushed Dolf’s power into him and linked our minds. I sent the words to Lucian through the link and said " Do you have news for me?"
" Anisha is safe for now. We have not found the mole as yet but the enforcer, hunter, and the rest of the pack are out searching for Seth and Steve"
" It’s a trap" Tizheruk pushed the words through. " Let Lobo and Lovita go after their brothers and kill them on site. Tell them to be careful of the wolf bond. Plus inform Alexander that we have a traitor amongst the serpent shifters. Someone gave Loraine Rucin poison."I raised my eyebrows and silently asked Tizheruk if he heard the conversation between me and Loraine and he nodded.
