Chapter 244: BITE ME
LOBO ARIA’S POV
" I feel cooped up" I complained to Sayuri as we cuddled on the bed at the secluded villa after breakfast and a round of romping on the bed.
" Come on" She got out of bed and chuckled " Let us go for a run."
" That sounds like a good idea. Is there a river in the mountains? I would love to go for a swim."
" Yes there is one but it’s deep in the mountains. It would take us a full day of trekking if you are up to it. We can spend the night up there and it would be a change of scenery for you"
" Sounds good. Let us leave immediately." My eyes flashed at her as we packed clothes and left the secluded villa at midday as we walked up Mount Tochigi. The wind picked up and I was awed by how strong Sayuri was as she did not break a sweat as we got up the mountain.
" It’s the vampire’s strength. I would not break a sweat for such a small distance " She laughed.
" I see," I responded with a nod.
The sun had set as darkness set in and the clear skies made the whole scenery romantic. I smiled to myself at the notion that being in Tochigi and meeting Sayuri changed me. As we moved deeper into the woods, the birds chirped and the cold picked up, and based on the surroundings I knew that it was almost close to ten pm.
" What are you smiling at? " Sayuri asked.
" A year ago, I would never have found myself in such a situation. Hence I know that all the anger and bitterness old man Aria raised me with is gone. I was the firstborn of the three of us and never had it easy. I had to prove to him that I was loyal to him and every single word of his was law. "
