Chapter 225: PRESSURE TO TAKE OVER
Conri and I arrived from work two weeks later and found Captain Abram and his team waiting for us at the mansion. We had relocated Uncle Cadman to the private hospital where he was recuperating. His injuries needed him to have a nurse around him twenty-four-seven. We took turns visiting him and he was improving greatly.
" I am hungry " Oliver spoke up and Conri chuckled as we worked to prepare dinner for all of us.
" I want a husband like him," Jerusha pointed at the kitchen door.
" He is one of a kind" " Graham nodded. " I heard what happened in Tochigi. The king of wolves did well. "
" He did. And I would have loved to witness him defeat Lobo Aria" Oliver responded.
" How do you feel? You have a new power in your body " Captain Abram stated.
" I feel great. I can’t explain it but the powers from my mother are in sync with Freki. And the fact that I was able to protect Conri makes it all worth it. " I explained.
" You are lucky. You need to protect each other because the power you hold will not burger well with other shifters. There are people in this world that would covet your powers and Conri’s as well. There are so many Lobos and Isamu that reside in this world. " Captain Abram stated.
" That is true" I nodded and Conri appeared at the door of the kitchen.
"Dinner is ready. Help me set the table"
Oliver and Jerusha rushed to set the table and we sat down to have a hearty meal. After, Graham did the dishes and then we all sat in the living room. I had a feeling the battalion had some news for me and hence I waited for them to speak up.
