Chapter 200: TENSION BETWEN US
I stood up and faced Aspen and Mrs. Hemming not knowing what to say as they approached and sat down on the couch.
" Speak" Mrs Hemming commanded.
" I have nothing to say, ’’ I stated. " I am baffled and shocked at the same time.
" You are a coward, " Aspen growled.
" Watch your tone, Aspen. " I stood up defiantly. " I am not the one who informed you about Addison being my mate. What does that tell you? You came intending to scold me because you think I started this. I must be clear that I have never wanted a mate and this is new for me. I never made any moves on Addison and it was her that came to the Villa last night."
Mrs. Hemming’s eyes widened and then she turned to Aspen and said " Leave us alone". Aspen stood there adamantly but one hit from Mrs. Hemming and he rushed out of the little villa.
" I am sorry about this but Addison has a way of being defiant and the way she makes announcements leaves one reeling in shock"
I nodded at Mrs. Hemming and waited for her to proceed.
" This is awkward. " She laughed and made me feel comfortable around her.
" I have no idea what to tell you, " I confessed to Mrs. Hemming.
She looked at the breakfast placed and dished on the table and chucked " She ensured you had breakfast but spoke with annoyance about being your mate "
