Chapter 175: STALEMATE AT THE GOLDEN SHIFTER PACK
" Forget what you heard here. For now, go to the pack officers and meet with the enforcers. I will clear up the matter of Sikta with Tizheruk and Haida " Conri growled and we all felt his alpha power wash over us.
" I am not leaving " Lucian sat down and his eyes blazed at Conri.
" I need you to handle this matter of the pack. Your presence will hold lots of water since Due Corporation and the construction site have the most employees in Alaska. ’ Conri instructed Lucian. Lucian seemed displeased but he stood up and walked out of the mansion. We all followed suit and left the Freki mansion for the pack offices.
When we arrived the enforcers and pack members had already arrived. As we descended the cars we watched as the whispers and murmurs amongst themselves grew especially when Lucian Freki stepped out of the car. We walked into the main pack office hall where all the enforcers gathered and the ones outside followed us. When Luna stood at the head of the hall table everyone went silent. We all stood behind her as a way of showing support.
" Now that you are all here. I want to address the rumors that made you gather at the pack offices. " Luna spoke up.
"So you brought it CEO Lucian to defend you " one of the pack members spoke up.
" She means to threaten us by having CEO Lucian by her side. " Another yelled.
A low rumble could be heard from my chest as I growled and then the whole hall was in complete silence.
A pack member stood up and said " Benjamin, we don’t mean any disrespect to your mate but a pregnant Alpha cannot protect the pack. "
" Why ever not ?" Zeeb growled.
" You are just biased because she is your mother, " Another member retorted.
