Chapter 146: HEAT AND TIDE
I removed my shirt, wrapped my body around her, and then carried her up the waterfall out of the naked view. Hidden beneath the waterfall was a cave that was filled with the beauty of the cave.
I walked over and placed Haida by the deep west side, which was not wet from the lake water. I sat down and waited for almost an hour before she regained consciousness. When she woke up and gasped when she spotted me. She stared at her surroundings as she realized that it was already night.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She whispered in embarrassment,"
"Why are you throwing a fit instead of being as vocal as you always are? "I asked.
"None of your business. "she turned her back to me.
"You so proclaimed I was your mate. Yet you turn your back on me, " I chuckled.
I watched as her shoulder sagged and then she said "Why did you leave the bed in the middle of the night?"
"Turn around and face me. I am not going to have a conversation with your back," I snapped at her.
She huffed and then turned to stare at me. "Why?" she demanded.
I moved closer, put a finger under her chin, and said, "Haida, you don’t expect me to just sleep next to you without touching you ?"
Her eyes widened, and she answered, "What?"
