Chapter 139: AMBUSHED
LUCIAN’S POV
The office space was suffocating as I paced up and down in worry. I had left Conri at the construction site after visiting to review how the project was going. The resort was picking up at a good pace and from the plans it would be ready in eight months. We had increased security at the construction site and the Freki mansion, as we were not sure when Lobo Aria would attack. It has been forty-eight hours since he was stripped of his position and no one had heard from him.
Zeeb walked into the office and stood waiting for my instruction. "How is everything in the Franchise? " I inquired
"The annual meeting is set for a month. If we speed up everything in all of them, we can have reports by the team when the meeting is set. This way we can have a proper plan for next year. And having Zaya and Benjamin as shareholders has sped up the process. We got a lot of inquiries and investors who are interested. ’’ Zeeb responded.
"Great. what about Conri’s land at the mines, has the paperwork been finalized?" I leaned back on the chair while asking.
"Anisha has finalized on them. The city council offices had no choice. And the tunnel that Fridolf had dug has been sealed off. " Zeeb responded.
"Great. Elder Zaya wants to leave for Canada soon. I fear she has become attached to Tizheruk and Luke" I stated. " Before she leaves we need to discuss with the shareholders on the proposed investment into Benjamins Timber factory. I am interested in an expansion proposal. "
"Anisha is nagging me too. She wants to travel" Zeeb cursed. " Oh, and I have some news, Boris embezzled money from the pack. Ma found evidence, and she asked me to give it to you. Hold on to it until we find more." Zeeb stated as he handed over the USB drive.
"Okay. That is great. We need to weed out all of Lobo’s goons once and for all. Has anyone found Lobo Aria? I am worried he is up to no good," I cursed.
