"We are mated. " The words rang in my head as I sped off the highway in anger and despair. I could not grasp the fact that Conri Dolf, the object of my affection, the man I wanted for so many years, was mated to that good-for-nothing playboy Lucian Freki.
I hit the steering wheel as I howled in pain and felt Aria growl in anger.

"Okay, " He responded and disconnected the call.
I sat down to calm my nerves and heard the knocking of the car window as Hunter stood on the other side.
"What?" I snapped at him.
