Hours later, as the sun’s rays hit the window, we lay in bed, cuddling and basking in the warmth of our mating. I was still in disbelief that I had marked her as my mate. Grinning from ear to ear, I could not believe that I was now mated to this wonderful woman.
"How long are you going to gloat?" She demanded while she stretched herself like a cute puppy.
"You have no idea, "I responded as I felt my voice vibrate. "Why did you not push for this before? You know I am such a loner and you kept waiting."
"It takes two to mate, Benjamin," she whispered. " And I wasn’t sure you would want someone who was mated before. And I am also a mother of two children.
"What happened to Elijah was not your fault. Pack wars are disastrous and many end up dead. You did well with Tala and Zeeb," I comforted her.
"I have a feeling my children already suspected I liked you. Tala always kept hinting that we would make a good match, "Luna laughed.
"I held back because I thought you liked Isla," I confessed.
"What?" she yelled and sat on the bed, staring down at me. "Why?"
"He always flirted with you in front of everyone, and he made it clear that he liked you. "I explained.
"So what? Did you see flirting back?" "She raised her eyebrow at me.
"You blushed one time. It irritated me as to how he made you feel, "I whispered.
