Chapter 45: ALPHA LOBO’S CHESS PIECE
LUCIAN’S POV
I left the construction site, drove to the opposite side of the Due Corporation, and headed to Alpha Lobo’s office. The bodyguards and driver bundled up in one car since I was too angry to let anyone drive me. I felt the need to confront him once and for all. Anisha’s call came as soon as I entered the main highway.
Answering the call from the Jeep Bluetooth speaker, I spoke up " What is it, Anisha?"
"What crazy thing are you about to do, Lucian?" Where are you headed?" Anisha demanded.
"I am going to see Elder Zaya," I lied.
"Lucian, you are lying to me. Knowing your temper and impatience, I bet you are going to confront Lobo," she deduced.
"If you know it well, why are you asking? "I retorted.
"Lucian, don’t you dare do anything reckless? You are newly mated, and there is nothing more dangerous than a mated alpha. If you want to see Conri go mad, go near Alpha Lobo’’
The statement made me slow down my driving and ended up parking the car on the side of the road. I switched off the ignition and leaned on the car seat.
"I will not sit by and watch while they mess with Conri," I growled. " Enough is enough"
"You are walking into a trap. Have you discussed with Conri what you want to do? Being mated requires you to communicate with Conri. But if you dare go to Alpha Lobo alone, you will have made a huge mistake"
