Chapter 38: TALA’S PREDICAMENT
ANISHA NORA’S POV
Pulling Tala from Lucian’s office, we walked into mine and once the door closed, Tala burst into tears. I pulled her into an embrace and rubbed her back. " It’s okay darling"
She hiccupped and muttered, "I am never this weak. But It seems Alpha Lobo is taking out his anger on me. I am scared Anisha"
"We need to look out for each other," I comforted her and pulled her onto the office couch as we sat down.
"Hunter sent his enforcers to follow me, ’’ Tala confessed.
"How long have they been following you?" I cursed out.
"Since yesterday. They followed me home and today I spotted them as we walked into the Due Corporation. Alpha Lobo instructed Rex into the Resort project."
"Why?"
I walked to the desk, took the tissue box, handed it to her, and sat down. Tala plucked a tissue and wiped her tears.
She was silent for a while before she responded, "He wants to cause trouble for Conri. He is mad that the marriage went on without a hitch. Rex arrived late. I bet he planned to have Rex cause a scene, but his flight was delayed."
"Fuck, when will he ever let go?" I seethed.
