Her jaw dropped in shock at my words, but she recovered enough and nodded in acceptance.
"You’re loyal to Old Man Odwolf, hence expect the same as I hand over the project to you and Zeeb. Conri agreed to work for us and I would say that we are damn lucky. Elder Zaya will provide the team that will assist Conri in this project. "
"What about the KODA council stand? " Anisha asked, her face filled with worry.
"Conri will remain in the Freki Lands that surround the mountains hence we shall abide by the KODA council’s rules"
"I am worried," Anisha admitted in a huff
"About what?" My eyes bore at her in question.
"About how reckless you want to get. I know about Freki’s agreement with the KODA council. And I remember how your pa was heartbroken when your ma died and he made me promise to keep you out of trouble. But you want to wade in murky waters and take the bull’s horns head-on, " Anisha seethed.
"I am just a businessman who wants to build a resort, "
"Sorry sir, that is not it. Everyone is still shocked because you defied Alpha Lobo in front of the whole pack. And to make it worse, you were friendly towards Exiled Conri Dolf,"
It pleased me that she had dropped the name Rogue before mentioning Conri’s name.
I stood up and strolled to the office window and stared at the view of the Alaska mountains.
