Chapter 315 - 314: Quarrel
"Xiran, what’s wrong? Are you upset?"
Wei Feng reached out to grab Chen Xiran’s hand. Chen Xiran allowed her to hold it but did not grip it back with affection like he usually did. Sensing this, Wei Feng knew Chen Xiran was displeased with her.
Chen Xiran felt a suffocation in his chest and it took him a while to mutter two words, "No."
Even though he said no, his face was terrifyingly calm. He didn’t speak, didn’t look at her, and didn’t hold her hand back. Wei Feng felt this was a form of cold violence, and she couldn’t bear it.
So she stood still, not moving forward.
However, Chen Xiran didn’t notice and continued walking ahead as usual.
Wei Feng watched helplessly as her hand slowly slipped from Chen Xiran’s, and when her hand was finally thrown aside, her heart sank to the bottom as well.
Chen Xiran walked a few steps, then realized Wei Feng hadn’t followed. He took a deep breath, stopped, and turned back, only to see Wei Feng standing among the crowd, looking at him sadly with tear-streaked cheeks, looking so vulnerable and pitiful.
In the past, Chen Xiran would have rushed over to hug her tightly and kiss away her tears, tenderly comforting her.
But now, Chen Xiran just felt tired. He didn’t move, just stood there watching Wei Feng.
Wei Feng’s tears flowed down faster, and her eyes brimming with tears seemed to cry out: Xiran, you’ve changed, you once promised me you would love me forever.
Chen Xiran closed his eyes momentarily then walked back to her, and embraced Wei Feng.
