Seeing them come in, President Damel apologized with a smile, "Sorry, I’m getting old and a bit unwell; I can’t stand up to greet the distinguished guests."

Hearing Lao Tian’s words, a relieved smile appeared on President Damel’s face.

President Damel’s smile faded, his expression turning serious, aware of why these people were here, he regretfully couldn’t do much.
After all, K country was a small nation, devoid of leverage against M country, which wouldn’t otherwise allow its ships to be seized on their own territory so arbitrarily.
He slowly said, "I’ve been retired for a few years now. I no longer have say in external affairs, and I’m afraid you have made a wasted trip."
Lao Tian glanced at Wan Chu’er, then smiled, "I remember years ago, when you visited our country as the President, you were quite active for the rejuvenation of your nation."
President Damel was stirred by Lao Tian’s words, recalling his visit to the ancient East, seeking external support to revitalize his country, nearly costing him his life due to collusion between reactionary forces and foreign capital. Fortunately, a brave soldier from Huaxia saved him.
