Chapter 102: Unyielding
The Ge Family’s door was opened by a middle-aged woman in her thirties. Although she had a smile on her face, her triangular eyes thoroughly scanned Wan Chu’er from top to bottom.
As they did, the expression in Wan Chu’er’s eyes turned cold. She looked down to say goodbye to Ge Erdan, then turned around and left the Ge Family’s doorstep.
"Erdan, is that the teacher your grandpa found for you? So impolite, not even greeting me, and who knows what you can learn from her—just a waste of money."
Ge Erdan called out unhappily, "Aunt, don’t say that about Sister Chu’er."
Wan Chu’er, who had just descended half a flight of stairs, heard the remarks from above. Without thinking, she immediately turned back and went up again.
Ge Erdan’s aunt was just about to enter the house when she heard footsteps and turned around, looking at Wan Chu’er with a critical eye, "What more do you want?"
Wan Chu’er let out a cold laugh, raised her chin, and glanced at her sideways, her disdain clearly visible in her eyes.
"What are you looking at!" Ge Erdan’s aunt was not pleased.
Wan Chu’er said scornfully, "Nothing more than this."
Having said that, she turned to leave as if she had returned just to scorn the woman.
