Chapter 84: Vitality
Now that she had a place to stay and a small fortune in her passbook, she felt much more at ease, no longer having to depend on others for food, clothing, shelter, and transportation like she did in her previous life, which had left her feeling insecure and inferior, rendering her sensitive and irritable.
By the time she settled into her new place, it was time for the first university to start the school year.
She quickly made herself breakfast in the morning, and after eating, she took her admission letter and other documents and headed to school.
This was Wan Chu’er’s first time going to college, and inside she felt a bit excited.
At the new student registration point, the senior students receiving them were very enthusiastic, and seeing that Wan Chu’er was pretty, she received even better treatment. She quickly completed all the procedures and was assigned a dormitory.
A tall male student said with a smile, "Where’s your luggage, junior sister? I’ll take you to the dorm."
Wan Chu’er thanked him first, then asked, "Do I have to stay in the dormitory? I didn’t bring my luggage today."
The male student smiled, leaned in close to Wan Chu’er with a mysterious air as if he was about to share a secret.
Being approached so closely by a stranger made Wan Chu’er instinctively resistant. She frowned, took two steps back, and then said, "If it’s not something you can say, then never mind."
Watching Wan Chu’er with her large, clear eyes, the male student blinked, thinking that she didn’t seem like a freshman from a small place. She was composed and neither humble nor arrogant.
