Chapter 30 I Can Help You
Wan Chu’er got home and found Bai Zhixi busy to the point of oblivion, not even noticing that her daughter had come home half an hour later than usual.
Tomorrow, she needed to deliver pickles to the second batch of cooperating restaurants, and there were several different types to package. Besides, she had one batch of vegetables that hadn’t been pickled yet. She was working overtime, worrying the vegetables would lose their freshness and the taste wouldn’t be as good if left out too long.
The house was now cluttered with pots and jars everywhere, vegetables scattered all around.
As soon as Wan Chu’er entered the house, she was met with the smell of pickles and frowned, thinking this wouldn’t work for long as the production of pickles was expected to increase, and eventually, there wouldn’t be enough space at home.
Bai Zhixi was packaging the pickles for tomorrow’s delivery. Upon hearing her daughter’s arrival, she didn’t look up but continued working and said:
"Chuchu, there are two buns left in the pot, eat them if you’re hungry. You study so late every night, how can you last without eating?"
Wan Chu’er responded, set down her schoolbag, and went over to help Bai Zhixi, labeling each packaged bag with a small note.
Each label detailed the restaurant’s name, the weight of the pickles, and the type and date of the pickle.
Once all the pickles were packaged, Bai Zhixi hurried Wan Chu’er to eat.
"Go eat the buns, then study for a bit in your room and get some rest early. I can handle the rest on my own."
