Chapter 190: King Aslan’s Wrath
King Aslan’s POV:
I am Aslan von Braveheart—King of the Braveheart Kingdom. For sixty long years, I have ruled this land with unwavering might. Yet in all those decades, never have I faced a crisis so dire, so catastrophic, that it could annihilate not only my kingdom... but perhaps the very existence of mankind itself.
The wars of the past were but fleeting embers compared to the inferno we now face. Skirmishes with Gildoria, political tension with Solara, and even the demonic remnants scattered across Mount Archanis—those were manageable. The great beast Canis once broke loose at the northern border, laying waste to the lands of House Blackmore, even killing their patriarch. But even that monstrous force eventually sealed itself once more.
For sixty years, I believed we had seen the worst. I believed peace—though fragile—was within our grasp. I was wrong.
The seal of Mount Archanis is weakening, and the infernal plague of the Demon Realm has begun to seep back into our world. We didn’t realize it at first. People simply vanished. Then the Demon Warlords rose again—bringing chaos not only to Braveheart, but even to the mighty Solara.
I have never faced a Demon Warlord, let alone one of the Overlords—those living disasters chronicled only in the darkest annals of history. But now they walk among us once more, tearing through the barriers between the demon and human realms. They are here.
Most of them have been defeated. Only the First-Ranked Demon Warlord remains. I wonder—when will he strike? Will it be at the western front, where Braveheart clashes with Gildoria? Or will he strike here, at the very heart of my kingdom?
And then it dawned on me: Naoki von Blackmore.
He’s more than just a promising warrior—he’s the descendant of Hiro von Blackmore, the legendary hero who once sealed the Demon King himself. Naoki has already slain two Demon Warlords. He is their target. They fear him.
Naoki is currently undergoing the Hero’s Trial within the sacred Hall of Ascension. If he is interrupted now... if he is struck down before completing it... all hope may be lost.
I knew then what I must do.
