Chapter 148: A Path Forged in Light
Three days had passed since graduation. Now, I was fully focused on preparing for the Hero’s Trial. Every day, I trained relentlessly in the academy’s training grounds, sharpening my skills and pushing my limits.
With the third-year students having graduated, the academy had now entered its semester break. The first and second-year students were given a one-month holiday, meaning the campus was quieter than usual.
Milly had already returned to the Blackmore estate, and she had invited Aisha to come along. However, Aisha declined, saying she needed to visit her own family instead.
Milly looked visibly disappointed, but there was nothing she could do. Eventually, they parted ways.
I was a little surprised that Aisha was going home. She had previously mentioned that she rarely visited her family. It made me curious—what kind of family did she have? I wanted to ask her about it the next time we met.
Would I one day have the chance to visit the land of the elves?
Hearing my thoughts, Envi immediately jumped in, excitedly suggesting that we should go there to meet and flirt with the beautiful elf women.
Disgusted by his impure fantasies, I scolded him.
Envi groaned, complaining that he was bored out of his mind while waiting for the Hero’s Trial to begin.
Honestly, I had to agree. The academy felt strangely empty. Even the professors had been granted leave to rest and recover after their exhausting battles against the Demon Warlords and the Dungeon Stampede.
Meanwhile, Headmistress Arsene was using this time to strengthen the academy’s defenses by installing new anti-demon barrier spells, making it even more difficult for enemies to attack.
