Chapter 106: Vorx and Zorx
Freya POV:
We were all caught in the explosion unleashed by the awakened dungeon boss, born from that cursed crimson demon crystal. The dungeon boss was a human statue with six wings behind him, he looked like a hermit but had an angry looking face. He was obsidian in color but had a hint of red due to the demon elixir crystal controlling him.
Somehow, Kael and I managed to endure the blast, even though we were sent flying. Cain, however, stood his ground, completely unscathed. His powerful Force Aura shielded him from the attack.
Kael and I exchanged glances, feeling only mild pain. Our injuries weren’t severe. That’s when we noticed it—our bodies were enveloped in a protective magic barrier.
"You... could it be...?!" Kael gasped.
"Professor Alden?!"
I turned around in shock. Standing behind us was none other than Professor Alden. He had been following us all along without our knowledge, protecting Kael and me with his magic.
At Braveheart Knight Academy, Professor Alden was known as one of the most talented Magic Knights. He specialized in both defensive magic and powerful elemental attacks. With his abilities, he could have easily served at the heart of the Braveheart Kingdom, yet he chose to become a professor, dedicating himself to nurturing the next generation of magic wielders.
"Why are you here, Professor?" I asked, still trying to process his sudden appearance.
"I apologize for tailing you, but I had a bad feeling about this dungeon," Professor Alden admitted. "Who would have thought we’d end up fighting both a demon and the dungeon boss at the same time?"
Raising his staff, he pointed it toward the enemies before us—the monstrous dungeon boss and the sinister demon beside it.
