The friendly match between the third-year students of Solara Magic Academy and the third-year students of Braveheart Knight Academy was about to begin.
But before Professor Lowen could give the signal for the match to start, Sander suggested that a powerful barrier be set up around the arena, sensing that the duel would be intense.
"You really think things will get serious this time, huh, Sander?" I said, jokingly.
"That’s right, Naoki! So give it your all too!" Sander said, looking genuinely excited.
Professor Lowen nodded in agreement, and along with Professor Aldin and the other professors, they cast a high-level barrier to protect the spectators from any potential magic attacks. It seemed unnecessary to me at first, but I understood that Sander might have been anticipating Nyssa’s unpredictable nature. I could relate to his cautiousness.

Our attacks collided with force, and after a brief struggle, we managed to separate Sander, Nyssa, and Windy, isolating them. Now, they had to face us one-on-one.
Yet, to my surprise, they remained remarkably calm.
I attacked Sander first with [Kazekiri], sending a slashing wave of wind energy toward him. But Sander easily deflected my strike with [Thunder Magic: Thunder Lance].
