Chapter 793
Yang Fan didn’t interrupt their conversation.
He actually had a lot of questions in his mind, but seeing the old man shaking and taking forever to hit the voice button with his finger, it was better not to interrupt.
If he broke the old man’s train of thought, the old man would have to search for the voice button all over again, which would be a hassle.
It was only after they finished chatting that the old man shakily put the phone on the cash register, and Yang Fan asked, "Old man, doesn’t that thing have a name?"
"It should have a name, but people like us old folks are just too old, and we never really figured it out in the past. There’s nothing in this world that doesn’t have a name, how could it be nameless?" The old man said with a smile to Yang Fan, instinctively reaching for the cigarettes on the counter.
They were Yang Fan’s.
The previous pack had been pushed over to the side of the cash register by him.
Yang Fan glanced at it without making a fuss, realizing that the old man really was getting on in years, and many of his actions were purely instinctive.
"You probably heard what we just discussed, right? Just do as Old Man Sun suggested. No matter what’s going on, we dealt with it like this back in the day, and look at us, we’re all fine. I’m already ninety-one this year." The old man smoked, puffing, and his leaky teeth whistled softly.
"Thank you, old man, you really saved my life. If it weren’t for you knowing, I wouldn’t have had a clue what to do." Yang Fan said sincerely, grateful for the old man’s righteous help even though he had his own thoughts and plans.
Nowadays, people as willing to help as this old man are already quite rare.
