A strong desire for knowledge had made Yang Fan a very qualified companion, who had stayed up drinking with the two elder gentlemen until dawn.
He had so many questions that he kept pestering the old men with various inquiries until he realized, once the daylight began to seep into the room.
Strangely, though he had stayed up all night, Yang Fan didn’t feel sleepy at all, just slightly dizzy from the alcohol, but he was completely sober.
"It’s already daylight, kid. Go get some sleep. That’s enough for today. If you want to drink with us two old men, there will be plenty of other times," Mr. Shen said as he lay down on the bed and waved at Yang Fan.
"Go to sleep. I need to take a quick nap myself. This good alcohol makes it easy to overindulge, and before you know it, it’s daylight," Liang Laoshi chuckled and staggered as he spoke.
Even though he loved alcohol, it seemed like he couldn’t handle much of it.
Yang Fan and Mr. Shen looked just slightly tipsy, but he felt a bit drunk.
"Then I’ll leave you to rest. I’ll take a quick nap myself, then go handle the matter with Old Mrs. Wang," Yang Fan said. "If everything goes as planned, Kou Miao should have already informed Wang Daqiang. I’ll head there directly."
He couldn’t afford to delay this matter.
"Take it easy. Think things through before acting; don’t get yourself into trouble trying to help others," Mr. Shen advised.
"I’ll be careful," Yang Fan said with a smile.
