Happy Little Farmer

Zhang Yulan’s abrupt remark startled Yang Fan.

"Sister, please don’t joke around," Yang Fan said with a wry smile. "I’m just a small-time farmer who, at most, can scrape together forty thousand if I’m lucky. How could I ever handle a deal worth millions?"

"You could always take out a loan," Zhang Yulan suggested airily. "With the right channels, it’s relatively easy to get that kind of money."

Yang Fan waved his hands frantically. "No no no, I really can’t handle that!"

"Even if I could get a loan, the interest on four or five million could bankrupt me in a matter of months."

Though he had some ideas, he knew this was beyond him.

It was just too much to handle.

However, Zhang Yulan shook her head and said, "Fanzi, don’t think that four or five million is a lot. Striving to earn that money through work could indeed crush you. But most people who make money don’t do it by hard work alone; effort merely gets you by."

"Wang Tianbao’s property is not short of buyers. Let’s say it’s worth ten million, and we acquire it for four million. Even if you resell it for just six hundred thousand more, you easily pocket two hundred thousand. So, your mindset has to change. Once you acquire it, think about cashing out quickly, not running it. There’s no need."

Yang Fan looked bewildered.

To Zhang Yulan, this seemed like discussing a trivial household matter.
