Chapter 164: Apology
"Fanzi, do you not welcome us?"
The woman beside the girl, dressed lavishly and carrying herself with grace, appeared to be around thirty. Her skin was exceptionally well-maintained and radiant as she looked up and asked lightly.
This Fourth Aunt of Yang Fan’s was the epitome of a noblewoman, no matter from which angle one looked.
"I do welcome you. I’ve never really met relatives from the clan so grown-up," Yang Fan said with a grin. "However, I think welcoming and being reasonable are two different things. Being aggressive right from the start and cursing with vile vocabulary—that doesn’t seem like visiting but more like picking a quarrel."
Fourth Aunt’s gaze turned indifferent as she looked at Yang Fan and spoke softly, "If you hadn’t done something wrong, why would Xiao Lin curse you for no reason? Nothing is absolutely black or white in this world. But I know my daughter well, and she wouldn’t curse someone without a reason."
"Then do you know what this is all about?" Yang Fan’s eyes grew colder; he had initially thought Fourth Aunt would be more reasonable.
Turns out, she wasn’t much different from her daughter.
Her words were laced with insults that were more grating to the ears than a direct attack on Yang’s ancestors.
"I certainly do know. Xiao Lin just came back crying and she has told me everything!" Fourth Aunt stated calmly, "It’s not easy for us to come here. Just apologize and let’s end this matter. Although your morals are questionable, it seems we won’t have much to do with each other in the future. How about that?"
Listening to her high-and-mighty speech, Yang’s face darkened instantly.
"My morals are questionable? Fine, your daughter has great morals then. Damn it, it’s none of my business if she doesn’t close the bathroom door! She’s a grown woman and she urinated on my shoe in the bathroom—I haven’t even settled that with her yet, and here you are insulting my morals. Ask her yourself, am I not telling the truth?" Yang Fan said angrily.
