Chapter 234: The Goddess Festival - Part 2
Even though Astri is not feeling entirely comfortable in this position, she understands the reasons they wanted to show her as someone special to them. Nature is constantly telling her that this is not wrong, that they are doing this with the right motives, and for this reason, Nature approves of it. They’re doing this both because they respect her as Nature’s Daughter and also because they like her as a dear friend.
"Some of you might be looking at me with doubts in your minds, since you saw me walking around you. But for that reason, I loved this place, too. Most of you treat those you don’t know with respect. And you should do that always, not because you might find someone like me accidentally. Lord Seijuurou, Lord Renzai, Lord Seiryuu, and other Shoguns might inspire us to follow the laws, keep the peace. But if the realm of Tsukihina is so prosperous and balanced, it is both because of its leaders and, also, because of you." She says, everyone is listening attentively. "Your everyday deeds. The small acts you do every day that are good." She smiles at some children that was watching her. "Your everyday play." Then she looks up at everyone again. "And your trust in your leaders that make this realm so good. If it wasn’t because of you, nothing would be possible. I’ll be eternally grateful for this sign of kindness. This festival looks lively, and I hope all of us have fun and keep feeding this world with good energies. And to show my appreciation..."
Astri raises her hands to chest height, then three lights appear in front of her, making everyone gasp. Medals in the form of a Pegasus appear, with golden and silver details, and each of them has a long golden collar wrapped with a thin line of silver spiraling around it.
The medals fly to Seiryuu, Renzai, and Seijuurou, slowly passing through their heads and landing on their chests.
"With these pedants, you can always contact me, dear friends. You only have to talk to it. It will also protect you against evil energies." She says.
They bow deeply to her, very grateful for what she gave them.
"And as for you.." She smiles at the people.
She raises her hands to the sky, and then several colorful lights appear above everyone. The lights started to fall slowly from the sky, like it was fireflies. Then the lights exploded into many colorful sparkles, making everyone gasp in amazement. Flowers fall from the explosions, too. The children laugh, raising their hands and trying to catch the flowers.
"Let’s have fun!" Astri says.
The crowd dispersed and went back to their activities. At the center of the village, where there are more food stalls and they also have a big bonfire, it is full of color and has handmade banners with drawings of the Spirit Tree.
"How pretty... The Spirit Tree. That’s amazing." Astri says, looking at the banners.
