Chapter 88: Bet
Astri’s spouses are looking at her with desolated eyes, almost like they are about to break down.
"Saw that reaction? Imagine if I really get more males." Astri asks Elder Jin, who is also shocked.
"So, you’re not being serious?" Zin asks with hope in his voice.
"Do you think I would be this evil to play with others’ hearts? If I had more males that would be them. However, I’m not allowing anyone to pursue me because I respect and love you. Your happiness is my happiness too. I just hope you always do the same for me too. If it’s to accept more males, I want at least most of us to agree. If you don’t agree, it will be harder on me knowing you’re unhappy." She explains.
Their hearts are filled with warmth again. Koa and Beau are still spellbound, their faces blushed like they were peaches.
"Are you saying you’re interested in Leader Koa, milady?" Elder Jin asks happily.
"I would be lying if I said no. However, Koa is the leader of this tribe and has responsibilities here. Being who I am doesn’t allow me to simply stay somewhere forever. King Tyr is the same thing. I can’t live in his castle and I can’t be his Queen. Beau is the strongest of his army and he is the one his Kings most trust for the safety of their kingdom. I also can’t live there. I can’t be selfish and irresponsible becoming mates with them just because I like them and for our own pleasure. We might disturb a balance that is important."
"Now I understand. It makes sense. You’re wise, as expected." Jin softly says.
The way she said this made her spouses calmer and understand that she does get interested in other males, but she doesn’t act like other females and accepts males like they were nothing, because of them and because of the other males too.
Koa and Beau had a lot to think about after what they heard from her. They didn’t have any idea that she was also interested in them, but they’re not sure if they didn’t formally say they would pursue her because they like her enough to change all of their lives. It will be a great change for everyone.
