Chapter 21: Burning Mark
Astri remembers Claud explaining about Monsters. They’re beastmen with demon souls, and they’re very dangerous.
Dieg quickly carries Astri and makes her hug his neck from his back.
Then he shifts with a jump to run with all his might between the wolf and leopard.
The leopard tried to scratch Dieg, but ended up hitting on Astri’s arm.
’Astri!! Hold on!!’ Dieg screams, worried because he’s smelling her blood.
For her it sounds like a loud whine from him.
"I’m fine!" She keeps hugging him for life.
He howls loudly, a howl to call for reinforcements. A howl from a wolf can be heard from a long distance.
Soon enough his tribe heard, and wolves went after the howl.
Dieg is being tightly followed by the Monsters, and they’re making Dieg not be capable to go back to the tribe.
