Chapter 278: Boyfriend and girlfriend
Bella glanced at Kate, her eyes silently seeking reassurance. Kate caught the look and answered with a warm smile, nodding her approval.
"I’d like to collaborate with you," Bella finally said. "But with everything going on, I’m not sure if I can perform the way I used to. Are you sure you want me? There are so many other talented designers..."
"I trust you." Willow didn’t let her finish. "You’re the Muse who just won the competition, beating those so-called talented designers. Why would I want anyone else?"
Seeing Bella’s doubt linger, Willow continued, "I spoke to the doctor. Your condition isn’t as serious as you think. Sure, you’ve had trouble recalling some past events, but your skills are untouched. You still drive, cook, and manage everything you used to do. Sketching is no different. And even if you need a little practice to get back in full swing, we’re here for you. We’ll support you every step of the way."
"She is right," Kate chimed in. "I watched you sketch today, and you were incredible. You haven’t lost your touch, Bella. Trust yourself."
The weight of doubt slowly lifted from Bella’s heart, but one person’s opinion still mattered most. She turned to Theodore, her gaze searching his eyes.
"What do you think?" she asked. "You’re the investor here. This is your money. What if my condition causes setbacks? What if this venture suffers because of me?"
Theodore didn’t hesitate. "I don’t care about profit and loss. I invest in countless ventures—some succeed, some don’t. That’s just business. But I didn’t choose this project for profit alone. I chose it because I believe in its potential. More importantly, I believe in both of you. I know you won’t fail me."
His unwavering faith washed away the last traces of her hesitation. Bella smiled, feeling lighter than it had been in days. There was no deception in his eyes, no sign of manipulation.
"Alright, then. I’ll join you," she confirmed.
Willow beamed, clapping her hands together. "That’s settled! Now, let’s order some food."
They placed their orders, and the conversation turned light-hearted.
