Chapter 9: Two to Tango, One to Tangle
Nash headed back to the court.
He had just spent the last of his points wisely.
[PP Allocation: +1 Agility, +1 Reflex, +1 Movement IQ, +1 Short Shot]
[BP Allocation: +2 Stamina]
Already, his body felt tighter, lighter. His legs responded cleaner. His arms didn’t shake as much. The ache was still there, but his threshold had shifted.
He pushed off the fence and walked toward the court, hoping maybe the system would throw him another quest. Something about seduction this time.
And just as he turned the corner, he saw something that made him slow.
A group had already gathered at the edge of the court. Twenty, maybe more. Mostly familiar faces, but two of them stood out.
Sarra and Lina.
Lina was hard to miss.
She wore a crop top, black leather jacket, and torn shorts. Her pink twin ponytails bounced with every step, black ribbons tied in. Belts and straps hugged her waist and legs, full punk mode.
Sarra, on the other hand, blended in. A dark hoodie draped over her frame, sleeves loose around her wrists.
